dejlig efterårsdag – lovely autum day

tomatoes and paprikas

As I wrote earlier – I went into the garden this afternoon to clean up in the greenhouse, on the patio and pull out weeds. And what a lovely day it’s been. Cold but sunny – it was wonderful! So I got the greenhouse cleaned (that is absolutely the first time I have actually cleaned up the greenhouse before spring!). And I emptied the containers in the patio. ANd after tht I still had some energy left to clean out the freezer. Amazing!

So I harvested the last vegetables from the greenhouse: tomatoes and paprikas. And after that I harvested a lot of grapes from our vine  which is placed on the patio against the house. We get so many grapes from it that there is no way we can eat them all. We’ve already picked a lot, and this bowl is coming to work with me tomorrow, and there is still many left.

ANd as I mentioned – there is still a lot of colour in the garden – the echinea is lovely, but looks a little tired – no wonder, it has been blooming for very long. And the last roses look tired as well..

I had a wonderful end-of-season day in my garden, which is good because they say that the rain and hard wind is coming back tomorrow!

Now I’m heading to my sewing machine!

  1. There’s nothing like picking fresh produce from the garden. Enjoy!
